Since there is no cage, the maximum number of rolls can be used. Therefore, these bearings can withstand very high radial loads. However, the maximum rotational speed is lower than that of caged cylindrical roller bearings. Single row full complement cylindrical roller bearings can also withstand axial forces in one direction. They are used as support bearings. Support bearings allow axial displacement of the shaft in one direction relative to the housing. The shaft is located axially in the other direction.
